WINE ON DRAUGHT?
WHAT????
Did you know that the wine we serve is draught wine?  It is stored in the same type of high quality stainless steel kegs that our favorite beers are kept in.  This provides you with some of the freshest purist wine that has never been exposed to light or air until it hits your glass!

These wines are propelled with Nitrogen instead of Carbon Dioxide giving them a clean, velvety, airated finish without the wait. 
While the concept of draught wine is still new to most of the industry, we have selected four wines which we feel are a great fit with our menu.  A pair of Texas wines and a pair of Californian wines. We are pround to feature two wines from The Messina Hof Winery, one of the oldest wineries in Texas!  Currently we are featuring a white and a red from their Private Reserve Collection. 

The Moscato begins with Muscat Canelli grapes from the Young Vineyard in Brownfield, Texas.  These grapes exhibit  luscious fruit flavors and delightful aromatics.  It pairs particularly well with many of our menu items including the Grilled Chicken Plate or TABC Wrap as well as the Cajun Grilled Catfish.

The Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a Double Barrel aged blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.  The first year of aging is spent in European oak barrels and the second in American oak barrels.  This process produces a full bodied mouth feel and taste with compliments of rich vanilla balanced with deep fruits. Try this with any of our beef entrees or a Grilled Chicken Salad with the house vinagrette made with Dijon mustard and red wine vinegar.
   
In addition to the Messina Hof wines, we have chosen two prominent brands that you may be more familiar with. Hess Shirtail Creek Chardonnay and Mark West Pinot Noir.  

The Hess Chardonnay is slightly tropical with a balance of acidity that provides a crisp clean mouthfeel and allows the hint of lemon-lime and apple flavors of Monterey to shine through.  This wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel without any oak or malolactic influence.

The Mark West Winery specializes in Pinot Noir.  For over 40 years they have been sourcing some of the best fruits the California coastal appellations has to offer.  The result, a medium-bodied, fruity red that features scents of spice, dark fruit and cassis with notes of savory and smoky oak.  The core of this exqusit wine reveals a pleasing mix of black cherry, cola, strawberry, plum and soft tannins all ballanced into a rounded mouthfeel.  This richly textured wine has a lingering finish that is delicious as a stand alone beverage or paired with one of our tasty burger combinations.
